Club-by-club guide to the Junior A Football Championship

Downings won the Donegal Junior A title last season and have since made it to Division 1 of the All-County Football League, with the competition starting again this weekend

Pettigo
Manager: Brendan McLaughlin
Last year's championship: Didn't qualify from group in JFC
Last year's ACFL: Bottom of Division 3
First two opponents: Home to Moville; away to Na Rossa
Prospects: Pettigo are in a very difficult group and it will be a surprise if they can make the quarter-finals. Would have been better suited to Group B. It is always a battle for the Border club to compete and this year will be no different. If they have their full squad they will be competitive but it looks like a daunting experience.
Star man: Paul Robinson
