Junior A Championship: Guide through the 11 clubs hoping to win county glory

Eleven teams will participate in the Junior A championship this season and hope to replicate what Na Rossa did last season, following their success in the county final against Moville. But who will come out on top in 2024

ROBERT EMMETS

Manager: Liam Sweeney

Last year championship: Lost in the Junior B final

This year ACFL: Finished 10th in Division 3

First two opponents: Naomh Bríd (h); Carndonagh (h)

Prospects: Like Naomh Colmcille, Robert Emmets are another side that could benefit from a restructuring of the league with them only winning three games in the league and two were against Pettigo and Naomh Padraig Leifear, both of whom are below Robert Emmets in the league. The Castlefin club had a positive championship last year reaching the Junior B final, but for now, it's just about hanging in and focusing on finding a balanced team that can put it up to opposition teams as they make the step into Junior A.
