Consultation events taking place on Three Trees to Carndonagh greenway

The project is part of plans to put a loop of greenways around Inishowen

Donegal County Council is holding a public consultation on the proposed Three Trees to Carndonagh greenway.

The proposed project is an extension of the Muff to Three Threes greenway which is nearing completion after work began last summer. The projects are part of plans to have a loop of approximately 120km of greenways around Inishowen.
A consultation is underway on the Bridgend to Buncrana and Newtowncunningham Greenway and a consultation on a Buncrana to Carndonagh greenway was held late last year.

Members of the public and other interested parties are invited to take part in the first non-statutory public consultation for the project, which is at the concept and feasibility phase.

The local authority said the purpose of the public consultation is to inform the public of the project and to invite feedback on the project study area, the constraints and opportunities located within and any other features that the design team should consider.

The first public consultation event will take place in on Wednesday, April 24 from 2pm to 8pm in the Carndonagh public services centre, F93 YV1N. That will be followed by an event on Thursday, April 25 from 2pm to 8pm in St Eugene's Hall, Moville F93 X6YR. Members of the project team will be available at the events to discuss any queries or concerns regarding the project.

Public displays on the project will be available up until Friday, May 10 at the two venues.
Additional project information and the completion of the feedback form online is available at threetreescarndonaghgreenway.ie.

Information will be accessible online from Monday, April 22 and Submissions will be accepted until Friday 10th May 2024.
Anyone unable to attend the in-person events or unable to access the website, can contact the project team by email on threetreescarndonaghgreenway@aecom.com or by post at Greenways Capital Projects, Donegal County Council, County House, Lifford, Co. Donegal, F93 Y622.
