‘One of Inishowen's most anticipated annual cultural events’ runs from July 31 to August 4 with an inspiring collection of paintings and drawings
The Colgan Hall annual local artists’ exhibition returns to Carndonagh for its 21st year, showcasing the remarkable creativity and talent of artists from across Inishowen and the wider North West.
Running from July 31 to August 4, the fundraising exhibition features an inspiring collection of paintings and drawings, in various media, offering something to captivate every visitor.
A percentage of the sales of the artworks will go directly to the upkeep and preservation of the Hall and the ongoing support from the community is greatly appreciated.
The official exhibition launch takes place on Friday, July 31 at 7pm in the historic Colgan Hall.
Lorraine O'Carroll from Peninsula Potter will be demonstrating wheel turned pottery on Saturday, August 1 from 2pm to 4pm, while Sinéad Smyth from Inishowen Artists' Retreat and Studio will be holding a workshop in blind drawing and painting for fun on Sunday, August 2 from 2pm to 4pm.
“Come and meet many of the exhibiting artists and enjoy the opening reception at one of Inishowen's most anticipated annual cultural events,” organisers said.
“Whether you're an art enthusiast, looking for a unique piece to take home, or simply keen to support local creative talent, this exhibition promises a wonderful celebration of art, community and culture.”
