As the county prepares to rally behind Donegal in this Sunday’s All-Ireland Senior Football Final, a touching new video from Inish Theatre Group is already stirring pride and emotion across the North West.
Titled 'The Heart of Donegal', the short reel features children from across Inishowen speaking from the heart about what Donegal GAA means to them, their families, and their home.
From schoolyards to local pitches, their voices capture something truly special — the sense of belonging, hope, and identity that comes with wearing the green and gold.
"This video is about more than football," says Adrian McMyler of Inish Theatre Group. “It’s about giving young people a voice at a time when the whole county is united."
"Their words are honest, proud, and deeply emotional — and we hope it brings inspiration not only to our community, but to the players heading into the biggest game of their lives."

The video has already received an incredible response from the local community, with hopes it will gain national attention in the lead-up to the final.
"We wanted to capture the pure love these kids have for Donegal,” added Maureen Loughrey Tolley, co-director of the project.
"It’s all about community, connection, and that incredible energy that sport brings to young people. They believe in this team with all their hearts."
One young participant summed it up with the kind of hope only a child can express: "I hope Jim and the lads see this video… and it gives them hope too."
