What you can do in Donegal during National Heritage Week on Thursday August 21

Events taking place across the county from Lough Derg to Fanad

Lifford Museum

The New Lifford Museum, based in the historic Lifford Old Courthouse, invites visitors to view three collections as part of Heritage Week 2025.

Collections include the County Donegal Historical Society Collection (formerly in Rossnowlagh), The Donegal Ancestry Collection (formerly in Ramelton), and Artefacts from Lifford Old Courthouse. 

Visitors can also view copies of the Book of Ballymote and The Annals of the Four Masters in one of Donegal's most iconic historic buildings.

Open times are between 10am and 4pm.
