National Heritage Week has begun and runs until Sunday, August 24.

It aims to celebrate Ireland’s cultural, built, and national heritage, and it brings together volunteers, community groups, and heritage enthusiasts to share their experience, knowledge, culture, and practices.

This year’s theme for the week is ‘Exploring our Foundations.’

On Thursday, August 21, nearly two dozen events will be taking place up and down Donegal.
