Eventful day for Ferry
Gaoth Dobhair's Seaghan Ferry is never far from the headlines when togged out in the green and gold.
On Sunday, December 2 2018 he came on as a substitute in the Ulster Club final against Scotstown in Healy Park, Omagh and hit the point that proved to be the winner for the Magheragallon men. It was an historic first ever Ulster club title for Gaoth Dobhair and only a second ever for Donegal.
On Sunday last he was half-back for his native side in round four of the Michael Murphy Sports & Leisure senior championship in Glenties against Naomh Conaill and he managed to score at both ends in the first half, firstly getting a boot to a Leo McLoone cross about a foot from his own goalline and lofting the ball just over the crossbar.
Then later in the half he fired a shot towards the Naomh Conaill posts which hopped over Stephen McGrath in the Naomh Conaill goals and over the bar. All part of a day's work. -PC
