Junior A Championship: Guide through the 11 clubs hoping to win county glory

Eleven teams will participate in the Junior A championship this season and hope to replicate what Na Rossa did last season, following their success in the county final against Moville. But who will come out on top in 2024

NAOMH BRÍD

Manager: Donal Martin/David Walsh

Last year championship: Relegated to Junior A Championship

This year ACFL: Third in Division 3/Lost in the Promotion Play-off

First two opponents: Robert Emmets (a); Pettigo (h)

Prospects: The club appear to be going through a period of transition and were glad to see the back of 2023 following their relegation from both league and championship. They remained quite consistent throughout the league and were extremely unlucky not to achieve promotion to Division 2, losing out to Cloughaneely on penalties. When the going got tough in the league this season, Naomh Bríd had the quality bite in prevailing. Will be one of the top sides in the Junior championship this year and have two comfortable fixtures that should start them off on the right foot.

Star man: Gearoid Gallagher
