A fundraising dance organised by the 100% Redress Party in Letterkenny this Saturday promises more than just an evening of music and prizes.

Charles Ward will be launching his election manifesto for Donegal families impacted by defective concrete and the other major issues affecting Donegal. The event represents a crucial effort to support the campaign of the local candidate.

Unlike major political machines, the newly formed 100%  Redress Party relies entirely on the generosity and goodwill of affected communities,  highlighting the grassroots nature of their fight for justice.

The dance, to be held at 9pm on November 16 at the Station House Hotel in Letterkenny is one of the few fundraising opportunities available for Charles and his supporters as they continue their uphill battle toward election day.

Tickets are priced at €10  and can be purchased at the door, with local businesses and individuals contributing prizes,  including an original artwork by Glenties artist Maryann Molloy.

“We are up against parties with deep pockets, advisory teams, and massive resources, while  I am washing and reusing old campaign posters,” Ward said, speaking on the reality of his campaign’s budget constraints. “These dances are not just fundraisers—they’re a lifeline for  this movement, showing that our community stands together even when the odds are  stacked against us.”

The party, founded only last year by homeowners directly affected by defective concrete,  was born out of frustration with a system that has repeatedly failed them. Many homes,  burdened by black mould and structural instability, have become dangerous places to live,  with children and adults alike developing chronic respiratory illnesses as a direct result.

Charles Ward is running not as a politician but as a voice for those struggling to secure a safe home for their families. “I never wanted to go into politics,” he said. “But when you see your  families suffering from financial ruin and children becoming ill due to their living conditions,  you realise that someone needs to take a stand.”
