Michaela McCauley is organising a fundraising dance and wax or shave in memory of her son Kayden White who passed away last year, with all proceeds going to the National Maternity Hospital and Hugh’s House.

The fundraiser will take place on August 30 upstairs in Tul na Rí at 8:30pm. It will cost €5 at the door.

Information about the event

Michaela was admitted to the National Maternity Hospital last year when her twins were due to come prematurely. Kayden took a turn for the worst and contracted sepsis and sadly passed away after 15 days.

She spent an emotional 75 days in the National Maternity Hospital in Dublin where the couple got amazing care and support around the clock from the neonatal staff. The staff provided outstanding support and worked in a professional manner at all times to go above and beyond for the couple. Dublin was four hours away from their home, the pair stayed in Hugh’s House, which is a parent’s house for families who are separated from their child when they are in hospital. They provided nutritional food, comfort and support when families are going through similar circumstances.

This is a charity based organisation reliant purely on donations. It has been an amazing place for Michaela and her partner to stay and they would love to show their appreciation and gratitude to raise money for both of these amazing charities that have helped them throughout their journey.

Raffle prizes

Raffle tickets are available on the night, it costs €2 for one line or €5 for three lines. Donations can also be made through their GoFundMe link.
