Guided walk taking place in Culdaff as part of Heritage Week

Bocan Stone Circle

Culdaff and Cloncha Heritage Group are organising a guided walk exploring all of Culdaff’s heritage. The tour is called ‘Hidden in Plain Sight’.

The group is meeting at 6pm on Wednesday at The Wee Hall in Culdaff.

Walkers will be joined by local historians Neil McGrory and Sean Beattie who will teach participants about the history of Culdaff. They will connect prehistoric wonders of the Temple of Deen and Bocan Stone Circle. It will then move onto early mediaeval gems of St. Buadan’s Boat, Steps, Well and Bell.

It will end with a more recent history of Culdaff House and the Mill. This walk will give people an opportunity to appreciate the natural surroundings and how they’ve shaped the landscape.

The walk will last 90 minutes and is free to attend. It is recommended you dress appropriately and wear comfortable walking shoes.
