Some brighter intervals this morning, but overall mostly cloudy, with outbreaks of rain and drizzle extending eastwards, heavy and persistent at times.
Met Éireann say it will become drier and brighter later, with highest temperatures of 17 to 22 degrees, coolest in the west, with light to moderate southerly winds, veering northwesterly.
Becoming largely dry tonight with clear spells later, with isolated showers and with some fog patches developing as the last of the rain clears. Lowest temperatures of 7 to 11 degrees with light, occasionally moderate northerly breezes.
A mix of cloud and sunny spells then on Tuesday morning as well scattered showers develop by the afternoon, some of which may turn heavy. Better sunny spells will develop in the evening. Highest temperatures of 15 to 18 degrees in light, occasionally moderate, north or northwest breezes.
