The road over Grainne’s Gap in Inishowen is to be closed overnight.
Gardaí have requested the closure of the road, which connects Buncrana and Muff, due to ongoing weather conditions.
The road will be closed from 6pm on Thursday until 10am on Friday.
Earlier on Thursday Met Éireann issued a severe weather warning for low-temperatures for Donegal, warning it will be extremely cold with widespread severe frost and ice, along with lying snow in some areas.
