Bank Holiday weekend to begin with a mixture of sunshine and showers in Donegal

Mainly dry with sunny spells and just isolated showers at first this morning in Donegal.

Cloud will build in the west and rain will develop later in the morning. A band of rain will move east across the county during the afternoon and early evening, with sunny spells and isolated showers following. Highest temperatures of 11 to 13 degrees with light to moderate south to southwest winds becoming northwesterly after the rain.

Mainly dry apart from isolated showers tonight. Clear spells to start but becoming cloudier from the west overnight. Colder than recent nights with lows of 2 to 6 degrees, in light westerly or variable winds.

After a dry and bright start to the day tomorrow, cloud and rain will extend from the west through the morning. The rain will turn heavy at times, with the possibility of spot flooding. Highest afternoon temperatures of 8 to 11 degrees with moderate to fresh south to southwest winds developing.
