Met Éireann have forecast Donegal’s cloudy Monday morning will lead to a day of showers and rain.
It will be a cloudy and wet start today, with further outbreaks of rain for a time. The rain will clear later in the morning and early afternoon, with sunny spells and scattered showers following for the rest of the day, some of the showers heavy. Southerly or variable winds, veering westerly, will be mostly moderate, but will be fresh to strong in eastern coastal parts for a time, decreasing light variable later in the day. Highest temperatures of 10 to 12 degrees.
Tonight will bring a mix of clear spells and some well-scattered showers , but becoming cloudy from the south, with rain starting to move northwards later in the night, becoming heavy at times. Lowest temperatures of 3 to 7 degrees in mostly light variable breezes,
Tomorrow, Tuesday, will be mostly cloudy to begin, with rain, heavy at times. However, the persistent rain, will generally clear northwestwards later in the morning or early afternoon, with bright or sunny spells and showers following. Some of the showers will be heavy, with the likelihood of thunder and lightning and the possibility of hail. Highest temperatures of 11 to 14 degrees. It'll be breezy or rather windy with fresh to strong and gusty southeast winds, strongest in coastal parts. The winds will decrease mostly moderate southeasterly later.
