Donegal is in for something of a mixed bag in terms of weather, today, Saturday, according to Met Éireann.
Today will start mainly dry across the country. This morning, showery rain will develop in the northwest and spread southeastwards and will clear by early afternoon. Sunny spells and scattered blustery showers will follow for the rest of the day. Becoming cooler with afternoon temperatures of 9 to 11 degrees and fresh, gusty westerly winds.
Tonight will become mainly dry with clear spells and a few showers in the west. Fresh, gusty westerly winds will gradually ease and will become southerly overnight. Lowest temperatures of 2 to 5 degrees.
Sunday will start off mainly dry with some sunshine. Later in the morning, showery rain will develop in the northwest and will spread southeastwards to all areas. In the evening, heavy showers will follow from the northwest. Highest temperatures of 9 to 11 degrees with fresh southwesterly winds.
