Frost patches are expected on some Donegal roads tonight.

Temperatures are likely to plunge after nightfall and Donegal County Council's gritting fleet will be deployed on Sunday morning.

Met Éireann say they expect tonight to be 'quite cloudy with scattered showers'.

“Some clear spells will develop later on,” the forecast says.

“Lowest temperatures of -1 to +3 degrees with some frost patches likely, in light northwest breezes or near calm conditions.”

The following routes will be gritted from 6am on Sunday

01: National Primary North
02: National Primary Central
07: Milford South
09: Cill Ulta East
12: Binswilly
14: Stranorlar East
15: Stranorlar West
