Seventy-five sports organisations across Donegal will benefit from over €41,000 in funding, helping to support grassroots sport, equipment investment, training, and community-based projects
Donegal Sports Partnership (DSP) under their Club Development Programme have recently approved the allocation of €41,000 under a small grants scheme.
Declan Boyle, CEO of Donegal Sports Partnership, highlighted that the small grant awards are designed to assist sports clubs in their efforts to promote sport and physical activity within the community, while also encouraging clubs to recruit new members and expand their participation numbers.
“The funding approved by the Donegal Sports Partnership board is allocated to support clubs with sports equipment, community-based projects, training, and educational initiatives," he said. "We would like to express our gratitude to all clubs for dedicating time to complete the online application process, with 75 clubs successfully securing funding.”

Boyle, emphasised that such investments are crucial for sustaining and developing sport in Donegal, ensuring that local communities continue to benefit from the positive impacts of sport and physical activity.
