Excitement is building at Ireland's most-northerly four-star hotel which is in the running for two prestigious awards.
Located on the Inishowen Peninsula, Ballyliffin Lodge has been named as finalist in the SEAI energy Awards 2024, which take place in Dublin next month.
The family-run luxury hotel, which is one of the largest employers in the area, has invested over €1.5m in recent years on a variety of 'green' initiatives including the installation of a large Solar array to the rear of the Hotel, the commissioning of a natural spring well to reduce usage of mains water, the installation of a woodchip Biomass heating system and automated LED lighting systems.
Separately, staff member Danielle McLaughlin from Glengad has been announced as one of the nominees in the Wedding Coordinator of the year competition.

Voting remains open until November 15 and the awards will be announced and presented at a gala ceremony in early December.
