HUGG, a national suicide bereavement charity, is hosting a free information event in Donegal
HUGG, a national suicide bereavement charity which helps people bereaved by suicide, is hosting a free information event on Saturday, January 20 in Donegal.
The event, Finding Hope and Healing After Suicide, will take place from 12pm to 3pm at the Inishowen Gateway Hotel, Buncrana, Donegal, F93 PPH9. There is no need to register for this event, all are welcome.
What to expect:
-12pm doors open with refreshments, and people are welcome to talk with the HUGG team and visit local support services’ information stands.
-12.30pm guest speaker Bryan Nolan, grief and loss specialist, will discuss the impact of suicide loss and grief, and highlight ways to cope with your loss.
- The voice of lived experience will be represented. A personal story of suicide loss, and what was found supportive and helpful along their grief journey will be shared.
- HUGG will share information on free local suicide bereavement peer support groups.
- Followed by more coffee, cakes and compassionate conversations.
This event will be beneficial to anyone bereaved by suicide, whether you have experienced a bereavement in the last year or at an earlier time in your life. Also, if you are supporting someone bereaved by suicide, we encourage you to attend.
