Cockhill Youths 2–0 Glengad United
Cockhill Youths secured a hard-fought win over Glengad United.
The breakthrough came in the 54th minute when Danny McDaid’s precise cross found Darragh McDermott, who nodded it back for Conor Graham to head home. McDaid and McDermott continued to threaten, with the latter coming close on several occasions.
Glengad rallied late, forcing a superb save from Darragh O’Donnell to deny John McDaid’s long-range effort. Cockhill secured the win in the closing stages when Conor Allen calmly slotted home after great work by Adam McLaughlin.
Rashenny FC 0–4 QPS
QPS opened the scoring on 13 minutes when Denim McLaughlin’s cross from the right found Lee Barr. Barr’s effort hit the post, and after the rebound was blocked, Josh Boyle pounced to fire low past Sean Friel from 14 yards. Boyle then tested Friel again with a close-range effort, but the Rashenny goalkeeper parried it well.
At the other end, David McLaughlin’s strike from distance was gathered at the second attempt by Stephen Harbison. QPS continued to press, with Oisin Lynch setting up Boyle, whose cross was fired over by Cillian McElhinney. Despite further chances, including a smothered save by Friel at Boyle’s feet, the score remained 1-0 at halftime.
After the break, QPS upped the tempo, sealing the win with two goals in three minutes. On 56 minutes, McElhinney broke down the left and found Oisin Lynch, who drilled low past Friel. Three minutes later, Shea Lynch unleashed a stunning 20-yard shot into the bottom corner.
The fourth goal came in the 71st minute, with Boyle evading four challenges on the edge of the area before blasting home. Rashenny fought back with Declan McLaughlin forcing a double save from Harbison, but the visitors remained in control for a convincing win.
Carn Youths 4–3 Gleneely Colts
Carn Youths staged a dramatic comeback to edge out Gleneely Colts in a thrilling encounter.
Gleneely took the lead after Kyran Cantwell’s powerful strike from outside the box found the top corner. Midway through the second half, Cantwell added two more, completing his hat trick with clinical finishes to give the Colts a 3-0 lead.
Carn’s fightback began on 83 minutes when substitute Girts Dzerins set up Tiernan Diver to fire into the top corner. Two minutes later, Dayton Cooke reduced the deficit further with a composed finish. In the 89th minute, Cooke turned provider, crossing for Mark Scott to equalise.
The home side completed their remarkable turnaround in injury time when Dzerins dispossessed a defender, drove into the area, and unleashed a superb strike into the top corner, sealing a memorable victory.
Inishowen Engineering Division Two
Sea Rovers 4–0 QPS
Sea Rovers maintained their perfect league record with a dominant performance against QPS.
Conor McGeoghaghan opened the scoring just before halftime, drilling low into the net after a precise pass from Tiarnan Stevens. After the break, Daniel Gallagher doubled the lead with a well-taken free kick.
Ryan Doherty added a third with a strike from the edge of the box, and Liam Gallagher completed the scoring with a fine finish from Mathew Mooney’s cross.
Carn Reserves 4–3 Carrowmena FC
Carn Reserves edged out Carrowmena in a thrilling contest.
Ryan O’Donnell gave Carn an early lead, converting from close range after a corner. Carrowmena equalised with a stunning free kick from Ciaran Bonner, but Carn regained the lead through Cormac McLaughlin’s powerful finish. Kayden Taitt extended the advantage just before halftime.
Carrowmena pulled one back early in the second half through Cathal Crumlish, but a missed penalty proved costly. McLaughlin added his second to make it 4-2. Crumlish struck again late on, but Carn held on for the win.
Cockhill Colts 3–2 Clonmany Reserves
Cockhill Colts claimed a narrow victory over Clonmany Reserves in a pulsating match.
Mark Moran opened the scoring with a superb free kick before Kevin McDaid doubled the lead just before halftime. Clonmany fought back, with Gareth Bradley’s header and an Aaron Porter penalty bringing them level.
The game seemed destined for a draw until McDaid’s late winner, following a clever one-two with Darragh Lyons, secured the points for Cockhill.
Dunree Reserves 1–6 Cockhill Reserves
Cockhill Reserves cruised to victory over Dunree.
Niall Breslin opened the scoring, with Shayne Gallagher and Joe Lavery adding further goals before halftime. Paul Jackson pulled one back for Dunree early in the second half, but Cockhill regained control with Breslin scoring his second.
Lavery and Cahir O’Donnell struck late on to round off an emphatic win for the visitors.
Illies Reserves 5–1 Moville Reserves
Illies Reserves extended their unbeaten run with a commanding win.
Shane Devlin scored the opener and later set up Caelan Whoriskey for the second. Nathan McLaughlin added two more, capitalising on defensive errors, while Whoriskey completed the scoring with a close-range finish.
Moville’s Egor Hreshylov scored a superb consolation goal, but Illies were too strong overall.
Redcastle Reserves 2–0 Culdaff Reserves
Redcastle claimed a deserved win, thanks to standout performances from goalkeeper Michael McCole and Shaun Curran.
Curran opened the scoring with a 30-yard strike, and Gary Kelly sealed the victory in the second half with a composed finish. Culdaff threatened throughout, but McCole made several key saves to preserve the clean sheet.
