Erin McLaughlin was a second-half substitute for Portsmouth on Saturday and got her her name on the scoresheet in a 5-0 rout of Chelsea U-21s.
The Culdaff native netted in the pre-season clash at Westleigh Park on 59 minutes when she latched on to a loose back pass to lift the ball over the advancing Chelsea ‘keeper.
Emma Jones (2) and Sophie Quirk grabbed first-half strikes to send the hosts in three up at the break. Quirk netted her second on 57 minutes while Mclaughlin made it five soon after.
Portsmouth Women currently play in the Championship, the second tier of professional football in England, and open their competitive season at Charlton Athletic on Sunday, September 8.
