Cockhill and Clonmel captains line up with the match officials on Sunday
Cockhill Celtic boss Gavin Cullen says his side didn’t put a foot wrong in their 2-0 FAI Junior Cup win away to Clonmel Celtic on Sunday.
The Inishowen Premier Division leaders travelled to Tipperary at the weekend and goals from Jack Mullan and Luke Rudden sealed the deal for the visitors.
“We’re just delighted to be through to the semi-final,” said Cullen after. “It’s job done in that sense. We were at it, we kept a clean sheet. We didn’t look like conceding in the 90 minutes”.
Cockhill’s front three of Jack Mullan, Garbhan Friel and Luke Rudden were excellent throughout and the boss agreed that line caused the hosts all sorts of bother.
“The front lads worked well together. We’d a few big calls to make. We brought Jack in for Corey from last week. Which was a big decision.
“But he did well and he deserved his start. It’s a squad game and the lads that came on also played a real part. Garbhan led the line really well”.
