Peamount United players Erin McLaughlin, 10, and Karen Duggan, right, celebrate after claiming the title after victory in the SSE Airtricity Women's Premier Division match against Wexford Youths
Erin Fildara McLaughlin has been nominated for SSE Airtricity Women’s Premier Division Player Of The Year.
The nominees for the main categories in the 2023 SSE Airtricity Women's Premier Division Awards have been announced ahead of a Ceremony in Clontarf Castle on Thursday, November 23.
The list of nominees and winners was collated from votes from players and a select committee comprised of media members and League observers.
The Peamount United striker is in the running for the main award, alongside clubmates Sadhbh Doyle and Karen Duggan.
McLaughlin, a native of Culdaff, broke into the Republic of Ireland WNT this year, making her debut against Zambia and featuring in the recent double-header against Albania. Ireland have won four from four in Nations League Group B and have already guaranteed their promotion with two games to play.
Domestically, McLaughlin’s Peamount this season won the Women's National League.
