Ronan Doherty hits the spot for Cliftonville

Ronan Doherty was on target with one of the goals on Saturday as Cliftonville defeated Carrick Rangers.

Ronan Doherty netted form the penalty spot on Saturday in Cliftonville’s 4-0 win over Carrick Rangers in the NIFL Premiership.

The Reds defeated Carrick 4-0 at Solitude.

Ben Wilson scored twice in the first half, either side of a Doherty penalty. Doherty was taken down himself and the Carndonagh native fired home past Ross Glendenning.

Rory Hale added a fourth and Cliftonville stay joint top alongside Linfield.

Letterkenny man Oran Brogan came on as a substitute for Loughgall in their 2-1 away win over Dungannon and Stangmore Park.

Inishowen duo Kieran Farren and Lee McLaughlin both started Coleraine’s 0-0 draw with Larne on the bench. McLaughlin appeared as a substitute for the final 15 minutes.
