Matthew McCole landed his latest Irish Third Level boxing title on Saturday.

The Dungloe native and ATU Donegal student blasted his way to the senior light-middleweight title.

The Illies Golden Gloves southpaw saw off Daniel Henriksson in the final to win his sixth colleges title and the seventh national title of his career.

The 71kgs crown returned to Donegal after McCole defeated MTU Cork scholar Henriksson at the National Stadium High Performance Gym.

McCole was the Irish senior (intermediate) welterweight champion in 2019 and last year the Illies Golden Gloves ace won bronze at the Algirdas Socikas Tournament in Lithuania.
