Matt Edwards with 25-second advantage over Callum Devine at the end of Stage 12

In the modified section, the reigning champion Kevin Gallagher came in at 6 minutes 17.1 seconds but second-placed Declan Gallagher trimmed 11 seconds of the lead there at 6 minutes 08.6 seconds

At the close of Stage 12 of the Donegal International Rally Matt Edwards and David Moynihan, in their Ford Fiesta Rally 2, hold a 25-second lead over the reigning champions Callum Devine and Noel O’Sullivan in their Skoda Fabia Rally 2.

Former champions Josh Moffett and Andy Hayes in their Citroen C2 set the fastest stage time of 5 minutes 56.1 seconds and sits in fifth overall in the standings. Cathal McCourt and Brian Hoy, Ford Fiesta, are still in third spot with a time of 6 minutes 4.3 seconds. 

Leader Edwards completed the stage in 5 minutes 59.2 seconds around Lough Keel. Devine was a little quicker, 1.2 seconds to be exact. 

David Kelly is sixth overall, 4.4 seconds behind Moffett. 2014 winner Declan Boyle in his Citroen is on seventh spot with 6 minutes 7.8 clocked on the 12th stage.

That gap in the battle for two-wheel drive honours is also 25 seconds.
