Buncrana’s Liam Grant lifts Irish kickboxing championship title  

Grant, alongside his coach Vaidus Natkus and and fellow club members of Senshi Martial Arts Academy,  took part in the ISKA Irish Open Tournament at the Derry Sports Complex with over 300 competitors involved on the day

15-year-old Liam Grant from Buncrana is this week celebrating becoming an All-Ireland kickboxing champion.  

Grant, alongside his coach Vaidus Natkus and and fellow club members of Senshi Martial Arts Academy,  took part in the ISKA Irish Open Tournament at the Derry Sports Complex with over 300 competitors taking part. 

Grant -  fighting in the 60kg category - had three bouts which he won convincingly on each occasion. His gold meal means he is now part of the Irish team that will compete in the Word Championships in Vienna, Austria, next October.
