A man in his 20s who was arrested in connection with the investigation into an alleged assault and suspicious approaches to children has since been charged.
As part of an ongoing investigation, members from the Divisional Protective Services Unit, DMR North, Clontarf and Santry in county Dublin searched a property in Santry and arrested the man aged in his 20s on Tuesday March 10, 2026.

It's understood the man approached young children in Clontarf and Santry and it's believed he assaulted a child as young as eight.
The man is due to appear before the Criminal Courts of Justice (Court No. 1) at 10.30am today, March 11, 2026.
Gardaí say investigations are ongoing.
