Gardai are appealing for witnesses after a man, aged in his 60s, died following a two-car collision in County Westmeath.
The collision occurred on the Royal Canal Way at Cushinstown, Killucan in Westmeath shortly before 2:15 pm on Friday December 19.
Following the collision one of the drivers involved, a man in his 60s, became unwell and was pronounced deceased at the scene a short time later.

None of the other occupants required treatment.
The scene has been examined and the local Coroner has been notified and a post-mortem examination will be arranged.
A garda spokesperson has said that the results of the post-mortem will assist Gardaí in determining the course of the investigation.
Gardaí are appealing to anyone who may have witnessed the collision to contact them.
Any road users who may have camera footage (including dash-cam) and were travelling in the area at the time are asked to make this footage available to investigating Gardaí.
