Motorist faces court date after travelling at high speed in 'hazardous' weather conditions

The motorist was arrested on suspicion of dangerous and disqualified driving

Gardaí made a shocking discovery after pulling over a speeding driver along a busy motorway. 
Following hazardous wind and rain conditions on Saturday morning, August 30, members of the Tipperary Roads Policing Unit were out on patrol to monitor the road network. 
During this operation, a vehicle was intercepted after it was detected to be travelling at 156km/h on the M7, 36km over the speed limit. 
Upon pulling over the car, Gardaí discovered that the person driving was in-fact disqualified from the roads. 
The motorist was arrested on suspicion of dangerous and disqualified driving. They have been charged and will now appear in Court. The car was also removed.
