My name is Anna, I’m 21 years old and hail from a tiny village called Ballyholland, on the outskirts of Newry, in the heart of the Mourne County. Growing up in a tight-knit community where GAA is the bond that holds us all together, my life has always revolved around sport. I play Camogie, Gaelic football and netball for my club, and have worn the Down jersey at both underage and senior level. I’m studying primary school teaching at St Mary’s University College in Belfast, where I’ve made lifelong friends, been a member of the Students' Union, and continued my love for sport. As the eldest of five, working with children has always come naturally, and I’m proud to be very involved in my community- coaching young players and working in the local community centre. Having grown up watching the Rose of Tralee, I’m incredibly honoured to represent the Mourne County in 2025 and share a piece of our vibrant heritage. The support I have received has been overwhelming, and I hope to do An Dún proud in Tralee!
