'A wild and enjoyable time' - Gardaí reunite woman with lost drivers license in the funniest way

Gardaí came to the rescue of an American tourist who lost her drivers license during a trip to Kerry

The license had thankfully been dropped into Killarney Garda Station where it was safely returned to Ohio woman Caroline.

In a hilarious letter from gardaí which accompanied the returned drivers licence, Sergeant Joseph Sullivan wrote: "I hope you had a wild and enjoyable time here in Ireland. Please feel free to visit us again any time and next time don't drink so much Guinness and lose your driving license."

In the post shared on Instagram, gardaí commented: "This is important: we do not tolerate any references to 'splitting the G.'"

Tourists Caroline and Rachel had visited Ireland together and posted videos of their trip on TikTok to the attention of the gardaí, who noted they had shared plenty of "wonderful snaps and pints."
