Body of woman recovered from River Moy following search for missing person
A woman's body has been recovered from the River Moy in Ballina following a search for a missing person which began on Thursday, gardaí have confirmed.
The body was recovered from the river at approximately 10am this morning (Saturday, January 11) following a search involving the Garda Water Unit, River Moy Search and Rescue, the Coast Guard, Gráinne Uaile Sub Aqua Club, Teach an Uisce and the Civil Defence.

The body of the woman was removed to Mayo University Hospital.
Gardaí have thanked all those who were involved in the operation.
The search has been stood down.
