Tullow RFC, in association with The Fighting Cocks GFC will hold a walk on Friday, June 14 to show support for Tom, departing from The Blackgates of Tullow RFC.
A fundraiser has been set up for a young man who is in a coma in Italy, after a tragic accident.
With life-threatening injuries, the Carlow man is currently “fighting for his life”. To help cover the medical costs, his family and girlfriend, Miriam, have set up a GoFundMe campaign.
“I’m reaching out to you all on behalf of Tom Eustace, who means the world to me. My amazing boyfriend is facing some unexpected challenges right now after being involved in an extremely serious accident in Italy and we’ve set up a GoFundMe campaign to help cover the costs,” said Miriam on social media.
“If you can, please consider donating to support him during this tough time. Every little bit helps, and your support means more than words can express. If you can't donate please share with all your network and pray for his full recovery. He is fighting for his life,” she added.
The young man has a “long road to recovery” ahead of him.
“Tom is an amazing person who has always been there for his friends and family. Now, he needs our help more than ever. The road to recovery will be long and demanding, both physically and financially. Medical expenses, rehabilitation costs, and travel expenses to get him back to Ireland are just some of the challenges we are facing,” said the family on GoFundMe.
The family also thanked everyone who sent them messages of support.
“The outpouring of support, messages, and calls has been a tremendous source of strength for Tom's family and girlfriend. We deeply appreciate every gesture of kindness and support during this difficult time,” they added.
