A post-mortem examination established he had been shot a number of times before being buried

Gardaí arrest man, 30s, in connection with 14-year-old Limerick murder case
A man, 30s, has been arrested this Tuesday in connection with the murder of Limerick man, Lee Slattery.
Lee Slattery was 24, when his body was discovered in the Delmege House estate near Moyross, Limerick, in May, 2010.
 
The male is currently detained at a Limerick Garda Station under Section 50 of the Criminal Justice Act 2007.

Two other men were arrested on Wednesday, May 22, 2024 with a woman also arrested on Sunday, May 19, 2024 as part of the investigation into the murder.

These three people have now all been released without charge.

Mr Slattery's body was found several days after he had been reported missing, and a post-mortem examination established he had been shot a number of times before being buried.

Gardaí continue to appeal to anyone with information to contact them at the incident room in Mayorstone Garda Station at 061 456 980, the Garda Confidential Line at 1800 666 111, or any Garda Station.
