ALERT: Warning to Irish parents as Cocomelon doll is urgently recalled over choke fears

An urgent recall has been issued for a popular children's toy due to safety fears.

The Competition and Consumer Protection Commission (CCPC) issued the alert on Tuesday that Just Play, LLC is carrying out a recall of the Cocomelon JJ Learning Doll.

"The risk presented by this product is choking. The seam on the trousers of the doll can tear, leaving the fibrous stuffing material accessible. This stuffing could then be ingested by a small child," the CCPC alert reads.

The brand is COCOMELON. The model is CCM11. All batches are affected. The barcode is 8056379128359.

The product was available in the following retailers:

  • Doonshean
  • Ken Black
  • Marlboro
  • Mulveys House of Gifts

There are approximately 850 affected products in the Republic of Ireland, according to the CCPC.

Customers should stop using the product immediately, keep it out of the reach of children and return it to the place of purchase for a refund.

Customers with any questions should contact Just Play’s customer service team at customerservice@justsplayproducts.com or call 1 800 777 706.
