14-year-old girl reported missing from her home is 'safe and well', gardai confirm

Eire King has been located 'safe and well'

A fourteen-year-old girl who was the subject of a national appeal after she was reported as missing from her home has been located 'safe and well', gardai have confirmed.

In an appeal, issued over the bank holiday weekend, gardai said Eire King from the Blarney area of Co. Cork had not been seen last Thursday evening.

The search has now been stood down with gardai confirming Eire has been located.

"Eire King, 14 years, who was reported missing from Blarney, Co. Cork since Thursday, May 2, 2024 has been found safe and well," read a statement which was issued on Sunday night.

Gardai, who have not publicly disclosed any further information, have thanked members of the public and the media for their assistance.
