A man has been arrested after the seizure of cannabis worth over €100,000.
Gardaí from the Kildare North Drug Unit, in collaboration with the Garda National Drugs and Organised Crime Bureau (GNDOCB) and Revenue Customs officials, conducted an operation targeting the sale and supply of controlled drugs in North Kildare this Thursday
During the operation, a residential property in Leixlip, Co Kildare, was searched, resulting in the seizure of Cannabis Herb with an estimated street value of €108,000 (analysis pending).
A 40-year-old male was arrested in connection with the seizure and is currently being held at a Garda Station in North Kildare under Section 2 of the Drug Trafficking Act, 1996.
He may be held for up to 7 days.
The investigation into the matter is ongoing.
