National: Chinese Premier's visit to Ireland could bring these traffic restrictions your way

In anticipation of the state visit by the Chinese Premier, Mr Li Qiang, to Ireland, security measures and traffic restrictions have been implemented.

Authorities are on high alert, deploying heightened security measures throughout the South Dublin area. The public is advised to be aware of potential traffic disruptions, especially in and around Dublin city centre, this Wednesday.

One notable restriction is the closure of the Phoenix Park, which will be off-limits to all access, including pedestrians, until 7pm this Wednesday.

Travelers passing through Dublin Airport during Wednesday afternoon are also urged to factor in additional time for their journeys.

Rolling road closures may be implemented, affecting access routes to the airport. Those flying in or out of Dublin Airport are advised to check for real-time updates and plan accordingly to avoid any inconveniences.

Commuters are encouraged to plan their journeys accordingly, leaving extra time for potential delays. Localised disruptions may occur, and it is recommended to stay updated on traffic advisories.
