ONE OF Rory McIlroy's tee shots at the DP World Tour has landed him in a bit of hot water on the course.
A more than unusual occurrence happened on the course when the Northern Ireland golfer's shot landed directly in the lap of spectator in the crowd who was sitting down on the course watching on.
In an video posted to Twitter by the DP World Tour account it appears that McIlroy jokes about hitting the golf ball off the ladies lap but of course ops to bring in the referee, who marks the area exactly so Rory can proceed with his next shot.
After the crowd move to accommodate his shot, Rory eventually gets the ball back onto the green and away from the spectators.
