THE NATIONAL Lottery is set to add a touch of excitement to the lives of Irish players with the launch of EuroDreams - a new annuity game offering an annuity top prize of €20,000 every month for 30 years.
For just €2.50 per line, players will have the chance to purchase tickets and participate. The tickets will go on sale starting October 30, with the very first draw scheduled for November 6, and draws will take place every Monday and Thursday.
To play EuroDreams, participants will choose six main numbers from a pool of 1-40 and one bonus number, referred to as the "Dream" number, from a range of 1-5. If they match all the numbers drawn, they'll be eligible to win the grand annuity prize of €20,000 every month for a remarkable 30 years.
The concept of EuroDreams is a first-of-its-kind in Ireland. The annuity prize for EuroDreams amounts to a total of €7.2 million, paid out in monthly tax-free installments of €20,000, providing winners with a unique financial journey that can span a lifetime.
The EuroDreams game was officially unveiled at the Gustave Eiffel hall on the first floor of the iconic Eiffel Tower in Paris. Speaking at a launch, National Lottery Chief Executive, Andrew Algeo said: "This kind of annuity game has proven incredibly popular in other countries such as the UK and the US and we think it will prove incredibly popular with our players, some of which like the idea of winning such a prize which is paid in regular instalments over the long term."
Tickets for the EuroDreams game can be conveniently obtained through the National Lottery's retail agents across Ireland, as well as online and on the National Lottery App.
Ticket sales will be available until the 7:30pm cutoff on each Monday and Thursday.
