Books of condolences for Private Sean Rooney open across Donegal

Books of Condolence to Private Seán Rooney have been opened in a number of locations in County Donegal.

Cathaoirleach of Donegal County Council, Cllr Liam Blaney, has announced that Books of Condolence have been opened in Lifford (County House), Letterkenny Public Services Centre and Carndonagh Public Services Centre, in memory of Private Seán Rooney.

The soldier was killed in Lebanon on active duty undertaking peacekeeping duties with the 121st Infantry Battalion, UNIFIL.

The news has caused much sadness in Donegal and across Ireland.
