Two Inishowen roads closed due to ‘treacherous conditions’

Donegal County Council issues black ice warning and urges drivers to slow down

Tipperary roads are closed following flooding

The warnings come despite a thaw and milder temperatures on Sunday

Grainne's Gap between Buncrana and Muff has been closed due to treacherous conditions

Donegal County Council said the L-1781-6 was closed on Sunday night. The council said there is a high risk of black ice on elevated areas throughout the area and urged drivers to slow down and heed warning signs.

The L-1611-1 Pinch Road between Clonmany and the Parish is also closed due to dangerous road conditions. The council has advised motorists to avoid the road and use alternative routes.

The warnings come despite a thaw and milder temperatures on Sunday following freezing conditions over recent days.
