A man in his fifties was killed in a motorcycling incident on the R519 road in county Limerick.
The fatal single-vehicle collision occurred at approximately 7 pm last night, October 12 at Callahow, Dromcollogher.
The motorcyclist was pronounced dead at the scene.
His body has been transferred to the morgue in University Hospital Limerick, where a post-mortem examination is due to take place.
Motorists close to the scene can expect delays this morning, due to the closure of the R519 road - which has local diversions in place.
The scene is being preserved for technical examination by Garda forensic collision investigators.
Gardaí are appealing to anyone who may have witnessed this collision to contact them.
Any road users who may have camera footage (including dash-cam) and were travelling in the area between 6.15pm and 7.15pm on Sunday 12th October 2025, are asked to make this footage available to investigating Gardaí.

The death marks the 135th person killed on Irish roads this year.
