Man arrested and charged after assault and theft in Buncrana

The arrest comes after a man was assaulted and had his wallet stolen on the town’s Main Street

Lack of parking enforcement raises concerns from Buncrana traders

The incident took place on Buncrana’s Main Street on Thursday, March 27

A man has been charged after an assault and theft on Buncrana’s Main Street.

The incident took place on Thursday, March 27 between 11.30am and midday when an altercation took place between two men. One of the men was assaulted by the other and his wallet containing a sum of cash was also stolen from him.

Gardaí said a man has since been arrested and charged in connection with the incident and have thanked anybody who may have assisted in any way with the investigation.
