It will be a mostly cloudy day with a few sunny intervals - then later in the day will see patchy rain and drizzle will spread from the west.

Mist and fog will clear this Sunday morning as southerly winds freshen in Donegal.

Met Éireann says: It will be a mostly cloudy day with a few sunny intervals. Later in the day, patchy rain and drizzle will spread from the west. Maximum afternoon temperatures will range from 6 to 9 degrees.

"Breezy tonight with outbreaks of rain and drizzle. Becoming milder with temperatures overnight falling no lower than 7 to 10 degrees with fresh to strong and gusty south to southwest winds.

"Mild and breezy on Monday with outbreaks of rain and drizzle. Highest temperatures of 10 to 12 degrees in fresh and gusty south to southwest winds. There'll be mist and fog along some coasts and over the hills."
