The weather station at Malin Head recorded its dullest December in 13 years.
According to the Weather Provisional Statement for December 2024, issued by Met Éireann, there were 21 dull days recorded at Malin Head last month.

The monthly sunshine total at the Malin Head station was 12.7 hours, the lowest since 2011.
There were two days of storm force winds recorded at Malin while the number of days with up to strong gales at Malin Head was four.
There were 11 days of gales recorded at the Malin Head station during December. The highest monthly mean wind speed was recorded at Malin, registering 33.7km/.h or 18.2 knots.
