Items of food such as flour and oil as well as cash provided by fundraisers run by Scoil Eoghain in Moville and by parishioners in Buncrana have been distributed to families in Khan Yunis affected by the Israeli airstrikes which have killed more than 45,000 and left tens of thousands facing shortages of food, water and medical supplies over the last 15 months.

“So many fundraisers were organised just before Christmas, and we wanted to mention everybody but it was nearly impossible, so please tag anyone who didn't get a mention this time. Thank you, too, to all the individual donors,” the post said.
“The money raised will be sufficient for more water trucks and meal distributions in north Gaza as well. Thank you all.”
